This Weeks Service: "DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT: SERVICE IN THE COMMUNITY" We're partnering with Riverworks. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the 1st Annual Harambee Community Cleanup! Please join Riverworks and your neighbors as we work together to make our community a brighter and cleaner place. Together we will clean 40 blocks of the Harambee neighborhood, Burleigh to Keefe and 7th Street to Holton.

The cleanup is on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 9am-noon (meeting at Riverworks at 8:30am to distribute t-shirts and cleaning supplies). An after party & community picnic will take place after the cleanup, from noon to 4pm, at Clinton Rose Park.

Each year Solomon celebrates our community and congregation with a banquet. This is a time of fellowship a guarantee of great food and excellent company! We invite you to join us as you've been such a special part of our journey! 

We suggest a donation of $20.00 per person for people 12 and up, $10.00 for youth between 6 and 12, and $5.00 for small children. The proceeds of the banquet enable us to continue in ministry in a community that is impoverished and in great need. We appreciate your donations and volunteer support not only by way of this banquet but all through the year. May God's blessings shower you this year!

Camp Rising Sun

Camp Rising Sun

Rising Sun Camp, a United Methodist Camp for children ages 10-14 who have one or both parents incarcerated, takes place at Camp Lucerne on July 10-15, 2016. The registration cost to campers is only $5.00, and round trip bus transportation from Madison and Milwaukee is provided. Click here to view the camp brochure. Thirty campers will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Donations can be made to the Wisconsin Conference UMC Treasurer with Rising Sun Camp Fund No. 7783 in the memo line. Make copies of the camp brochure as needed, and get them into the hands of families caring for children who would qualify to attend. Please have them fill out both the registration form and health form. Contact Afi Dobbins at adobbins@wisconsinumc.org for more information.
